Luminescent separator POLUS-М

Separator POLUS-М is designed for processing dry diamond samples of size: –5 + 2 mm, –2 + 1 mm, and –1 + 0.5 mm on site for purposes of exploration of diamond deposits.
The principle of operation of the separator is based on the property of diamonds to luminesce under the action of X-rays and the difference of these properties in diamonds and associated luminescent minerals. The recording devices and the X-ray source are located on different sides of the material flow.
The separator is a one-stage one. Excitation is pulsed.
The number of recording channels is one.
Diamonds are separated into concentrate with the help of a mechanical cutoff (blade + electric magnet).
The transport channel is encased in a separate housing. The transport channel is accessed through removable access holes.
The separator consists of a sorting machine (SM) and a controlling and recording unit (CRU).
The separator is powered from an AC network 220 V, 50 Hz. The power consumption does not exceed 300 VA.
The separator is operated at the temperature from +10 to +45° С at relative humidity up to 80%.
The housing of the sorting machine ensures full protection of personnel from X-rays.
