Luminescent separator LS-50-05

Separator LS-50-05 is designed for dressing wet initial diamond ores and upgrading metal content of size: –50 + 20 mm, –20 + 10 mm, and –10 + 5 mm.
The principle of operation of the separator is based on the property of diamonds to luminesce under the action of X-rays and the difference of these properties in diamonds and associated luminescent minerals. Radiation is one-way. Recoding is possible on either sides of material.
The separator is a two-stage one. Excitation is pulsed.
The number of recording channels is eight (four for each stage).
Diamonds are separated into concentrate with the help of compressed air by a special cutoff.
The separator consists of a sorting machine (SM) and an automatic control column (ACC).
The feed bin, outlets of tail and concentrate compartments are fitted with flanges for linking to the factory processing lines.
The separator is powered from a 3-phase AC network 380 V, 50 Hz. The consumed power does not exceed 6 kVA.
The separator is operated at the temperature from +10 to +35° С at relative humidity up to 80% for ACC, up to 100% for SM.
The housing of the sorting machine ensures full protection of personnel from X-rays.
